Taking stock of rice industry statistics post-RTL

Action for Economic Reforms, through this Policy Note, aims to take a crack at the Supply-Utilization Accounts and discuss supply-side issues of rice in the Philippines. The latter, being a long-standing food security concern, got the Government tinkering for the right mix of policy interventions to alleviate the conditions of rice farmers and consumers alike. Among others, this paper provides policy recommendations and highlights pressing issues pre- and post- Rice Tariffication Law.
