Call for and Event Organizer for the 2nd COLLABDev National Assembly
Action for Economic Reforms (AER), a civil society policy, advocacy and action think tank working on key issues around fiscal reforms, health measures, industrial policy, and freedom of information, implements a data-driven development project in partnership with USAID and the European Commission.
The Coalescing Organizations towards Locally Led Actions to Boost Development (COLLABDev), a partnership project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Action for Economic Reforms (AER), will be completing its second annual implementation plan this September. To mark this milestone, and to celebrate the gains so far, we will gather our project partners in the Second COLLABDev National Assembly on September 19, 2022 (Monday). It will be a blended activity with a physical setup in Tacloban City and an online setup via Zoom.
The 2nd National Assembly aims to: (1) to showcase good/best practices of Local Coalitions; (2) to build camaraderie and provide (3) to agree on policy resolutions that will be elevated at the provincial, regional and national level and strengthen adoption of 3D
Description of Service
The Contractor shall be responsible for providing the following services:
Work closely with the Project Team during the planning process to closely manage every aspect of the event.
Supervise and manage the layout and setup of the function hall and exhibit area
Manage the technical aspect of the event
Provide the following equipment and manpower:
Lights and Sounds System
LED Video Wall 2.5m X 3.0m
2 Camera Setup
Video Mixer
Wireless Video Transmitters (for Creative live)
Audio interface
Live Video Recorder
4 Comset for cameraman
1 Wireless Comset
2 Laptops
1 Technical Director, 1 Zoom Operator
Tech Support Staffs, Sound Technician
Audio & Video Live Equipment
Back-up Internet
Additional Visuals: one (1) pc 55″, two (2) pcs 45″ LED TV
Coordinate with suppliers for printing of event collaterals: posters with pull up standees; photo wall, materials for the ribbon cutting ceremony
Work with the Head Secretariat on the day of the event
Qualifications
Experience in event organizing and management. Experience working with government and non-government organizations is an advantage
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong coordination skills
Good interpersonal and social skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Due to COVID-19, AER implements a modified work from home arrangement. Members ofthe staffare expected to have stable internet connectivity in their residences. Admin and Finance personnel may be required to report physically to the office on pre-arranged schedules, following strict health protocols. Staff follows guidelines on the use of office space and travel for work. AER is a smoke-free, gender-safe, child-friendly organization. All staff members are required to abide by strict policies on these.
