The Right to Know, Right Now! Coalition (R2KRN Coalition) was one of the awardees in the 2017 FOI Awards. The Philippine Communications and Operations Office (PCOO) organized the awarding ceremony that took place last December 4, 2017 at the Rizal Park Hotel, Manila.
The FOI Awards was launched to recognize the contribution of civil society organizations to the first year of the FOI Executive Order Implementation. It also gave recognition to national government agencies, government owned and controlled corporations, and state universities and colleges that performed well during the implementation of President Duterte’s EO No. 2.
Atty. Eirene Jhone Aguila, co-convener of R2KRN, accepted the award on behalf of the coalition.
