Last October 24, 2014, Mr. Butch Montes, the Senior Advisor on Finance and Development at the South Centre in Geneva, met with the AER Industrial Policy Team (AER IP Team) to discuss the current projects of the team.

This is a rare opportunity as Mr. Montes is to fly back to Geneva the next day, so all the attendees spent the meeting asking for Mr. Montes’ advice on the different projects.

Some of the issues discussed were the Round Table Discussion held with DTI Assistant Secretary Fita Aldaba, the state of the IP Team Framework Paper, and also the project to localize industrial policy in the Yolanda-affected communities.
