Action for Economic Reforms is happy to share the full documentation of the seminar “Economic Policy and Public Health: Never the Twain Shall Meet?” held on May 8, 2014; and the Dialogue with Bureau of Internal Revenues Commissioner Kim Henares titled, “Will the Reforms Stick Beyond 2016?” held in the morning of May 9, 2014. A separate documentation for the CSO Strategy Meeting held in the afternoon of May 9, 2014 is available to the participants of the said meeting.
The May 8-9 activities were co-organized with the American Cancer Society, the Philippine College of Physicians, and the FCTC Alliance of the Philippines.
The activities were supported by a sub- agreement from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with funds provided by the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use. Its contents are solely the responsibility of the speakers and participants and do not necessarily represent the official views of the Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, or the events co-organizers.
The proceedings are based on recordings of the Seminar and notes by documenters, minimally edited for style and clarity.
